Description
White ink used in DTF contains a high concentration of pigments. These pigments tend to settle at the bottom of the tank and make the ink less homogeneous, which can affect print quality.
The DTF white ink mixer keeps the ink moving inside the dedicated tank. It helps limit pigment build-up and supports smoother white ink circulation through the system.
Two DTF white ink mixer lengths
Two white ink mixer lengths are available depending on the capacity of your DTF ink tank:
- 70 mm: for 260 ml, 500 ml and 1 L white ink tanks;
- 120 mm: for 1.5 L and 2 L white ink tanks.
This DTF white ink agitator becomes useful when a mixer shows signs of wear or no longer rotates correctly. Poor mixing can make white ink management more difficult, especially on productions with an underbase or on dark textiles.
When mixing no longer works correctly, white pigments can:
- Settle at the bottom of cartridges or tanks;
- Obstruct DTF ink lines;
- Block printhead nozzles.
Before ordering a white ink agitator, check the volume of your DTF printer’s white ink tank. The correct size allows the mixer to work properly inside the container.
