Manutech-Print equips textile printing companies that use direct to garment printing (DTG) , screen printing, heat transfer as well as DTF or direct to film printing. Discover quality supplies, such as DTF transfer film, ink, powder at the best price! We offer a complete, premium quality DTF direct to film printing solution, from the automatic DTF line, to DTF supplies and cleaning solution.
Direct-To-Film printing is exceptionally a unique and recent printing technique. It consists of printing designs on a transfer film to apply them to clothing.
Specifically, DTF is a heat transfer textile marking process. DTF is a new technology that allows users to print designs onto a special transparent PET film using water-based digital inks.
At that time, a hot-melt powder is applied to the ink. The DTF transfer film is then dried and the powder cured.
There are two ways to achieve the application of the DTF powder and its curing:
Manually: Print your DTF sheet. Cover the ink with powder and remove the excess, then cure it with a heat gun or a DTF dryer.
Automatically: A complete DTF printing chain makes it possible to automate all these steps. It demands a roll of film for DTF printing. When this transfer film comes out printed, it goes to the DTF powder applicator and shaker. The surplus is recovered to reuse it. The transfer is conveyed to the drying oven to quickly harden the powder.
After this step, the operator heat presses the image of the transfer directly onto the t-shirt to be customised.
With quality DTF supplies, this modern type of textile personalisation lasts as long as screen printing and can be applied to many supports.
If you work in the textile printing industry, you know the finish of your work usually depends on the quality of the printer and the inks. This principle applies all the more, when it comes to Direct To Film printing. As with other textile printing processes such as direct to garment (DTG) printing or heat transfer, it is essential you invest in reliable and durable equipment. Indeed, a quality printer and heat press optimise the result of printing and your work.
High quality inks are also needed to ensure the printhead does not clog or smear. Manutech-Print recommends inks designed exclusively for DTF printing.
We rigorously use and test the products, in actual production. This ensures quality and compatibility between all our DTF supplies.
For example, Manutech-Print offers a range of DTF inks with high density and colour saturation, excellent performance and better durability
DTF printing demands a PET film (material similar to our plastic water bottles). But it does not mean that every type of Direct-To-Film transfer film is good quality and suitable for the direct to film process.
Lower quality, untreated DTF transfer films are less expensive. But they just don't match the performance of cold peel films. They can stain, don't accept the adhesive or damage your shirt or hoodies. Your design may also hold less time and peel quickly.
The cold peel film is specially treated to withstand the high temperatures and pressure of a heat press; it is also compatible with all DTF printers.
Manutech-Print offers the film for DTF transfer in two packaging:
The prices offered are decreasing, for a volume greater than 10 DTF film, please contact us for a personalised price offer.
To ensure successful direct to film printing, DTF inks are carefully selected and rigorously tested. In this manner, we guarantee faithful colour reproduction and compatibility between all our DTF supplies like transfer films for DTF printing.
On manutech-print.com, we rigorously test and control ink for DTF. Our quality standards are really demanding for high-quality transfers in production and result.
Direct To Film ink is used to print on special film for DTF (direct to film transfers) using either a DTG printing system or a DTF printer.
DTF ink/transfers can stick to many textiles and fabrics (cotton, cotton-polyester blend, polyester, lycra and more) as well as other materials.

The Direct To Film print does not transfer directly to a shirt or sweatshirt. To fix your design, you must use a special powder for Direct To Film printing. This hot melt DTF powder allows your stick image to your textile to personalise. Once pasted, your design has a soft touch feeling. There is no strong odour and the excess can be stored and reused easily.
Manutech-Print has selected two types of DTF powders and two packaging:
One of the many benefits of DTF printing is that the clothes do not need any pre-treatment to transfer successfully. This reduces your steps and potentially lowers your production costs. Overall, the Direct To Film printing technique is faster and demands less labour than Direct To Garment printing (DTG).
When printing on a textile with a DTG printer, the choice of textiles is limited. Cotton or mostly 100% cotton clothing should be used. The DTF provides more flexibility. You can print on a variety of fabrics including cotton, blend, polyester, synthetic silk, nylon, leather, and more.
