Temperature and Humidity Sensor for Print Workshops
- Reference: MTP-TH01
€18.00 Tax excluded
Description
The temperature and humidity sensor for print workshops shows both readings on an LCD display. In DTF and DTG, the air in the workshop affects the ink and print quality. This sensor helps maintain optimal environmental conditions in the textile printing workshop and detect changes in ambient conditions that could affect print quality.
Sensor specifications
Here are the technical specifications of the sensor:
- Portable digital thermo-hygrometer with LCD display
- Sensor on a 1.5 m cable
- Temperature range: -50 °C to 70 °C
- Temperature accuracy: ±1 °C
- Humidity range: 20 % to 90 % RH
- Humidity accuracy: ±5 % RH
- Power: 2 × 1.5 V LR44 button batteries, included
Sensor applications in DTF and DTG
The probe sits in the workshop, close to the machines. It tracks the air around the ink, the film and the pretreatment. The values below are indicative guide values. The machine and ink manufacturer's instructions take precedence.
DTF: ink, film and powder
In DTF, common guide values are around 45 to 60 % RH and 20 to 25 °C. Dry air dries out the nozzles and destabilises the white ink. It also builds static, which hinders powder handling and film feeding. Air that is too humid stops the ink setting properly on the film and makes curing uneven. Temperature swings make the film move, which affects colour registration.
DTG: white ink and pretreatment
In DTG, common guide values run from about 45 to 70 % RH, with a temperature of 15 to 30 °C. Dry air dries out the ink, multiplies cleaning cycles and can cause nozzle loss. Cold thickens the ink and slows pretreatment drying. Heat dries the ink and disrupts pretreatment spraying.
