Description
The Kornit Digital optimised pretreat, Dark Cotton version, represents an ideal solution for textile printing professionals. Of excellent quality, it is suitable for all Kornit printers. Pretreatment for Kornit offered in concentrated version, it is diluted with demineralised or osmosis water. Mix it, a ratio of 3:1, for example with 20 liters of concentrate you get 80 liters of DTG pretreat for Avalanche HD6.
Designed to improve print quality and ensure superior results, this pretreatment is exactly suited to Kornit printing systems, like the Kornit Storm HD6, Avalanche HD6, and Atlas MAX models.
Why is pretreat necessary for DTG printing with Kornit printer ?
Direct to garment (DTG) printing remains a high-precision textile printing technique, where each drop of ink must be rigorously applied. However, without proper DTG pretreatment, ink can spread across the textile, causing increased toning and lower quality rendering.
Kornit optimised pretreat ensures DTG ink stays on the surface to preserve colour sharpness and visual definition.
Key features of the optimised pre-treatment for Kornit Digital printers.
Maximum compatibility with Kornit printers like the Kornit Storm HD6, Avalanche HD6, and Atlas MAX models.
This DTG pretreat for Kornit is specifically formulated to work with all Kornit printers. Its formula guarantees optimal compatibility and maximised performance.
Suitable for NeoPigment™ Eco-Rapid inks.
It works in perfect synergy with Kornit NeoPigment™ Eco-Rapid inks, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting prints.
Uniform spraying on the t-shirt for beautiful prints.
Thanks to the mechanical application integrated into Kornit printers, the pretreatment for dark cotton is applied uniformly on t-shirts, sweatshirts and polo shirts. During printing you will not have any streaks or irregularities.
A more fluid composition, without thickener.
This prevents stains on textiles and the potential risk of nozzles clogging. We recommend carefully cleaning the Kornit pretreat spray system regularly with hot water.
Benefits of Kornit printers integrated DTG spaying system.
Kornit printers, like the Vulcan Plus and Avalanche POLY Pro, are distinguished by their integrated DTG spraying system. This process offers significant benefits for textile printing professionals.
Save time and space.
Integrated processing eliminates the tedious step of external processing. You no longer need pretreating textiles before printing. This automation reduces preparation time and allows you to speed up your operations.
You thus optimise your production flow, which results in an increase in productivity. Every minute saved in preparation turns into more time for actual production, an advantage for high volumes.
Reduced production costs.
The cost of DTG precoating frequently represents a significant part of traditional processes. Thanks to the integrated pretreat of Kornit printers, this cost is drastically reduced. In addition, by preventing manual pre-treatment, you eliminate the costs related to labour and the purchase of specific equipment.
Precision and print quality.
The "wet-in-wet" application is one of the key advantages of Kornit printers. This method consists of applying the ink directly to the pre-treated textile, without an intermediate drying step. This process ensures better ink adhesion and improves the durability of the print. Thanks to this technique, the colours remain brilliant and precise, even on dark textiles. You benefit from superior print quality, with subtle details and excellent wash resistance.
Optimised workflow.
The integrated DTG pretreatment eliminates the need to manage pre-treated textiles upstream. You no longer have to worry about storage or the use-by time of pre-treated textiles. This simplifies your inventory management and streamlines your production line. Automatic configuration of pretreatment for DTG quantity according to the textile type, reduces errors and ensures consistent quality.
Packaging tailored to the size of your company.
To satisfy the diverse needs of textile printing shops, the optimised Kornit pretreatment for Dark Cotton is available in several formats.
20-litre can — Concentrated formula: designed to be diluted, this format optimises transport and storage costs.
200-litre drum — Concentrated formula: this truly economical option allows the contents to be diluted to obtain a considerable volume of ready-to-use product and reduce the cost per litre.
Dilution advice for the concentrated Kornit DTG pretreatment formula:
Dilution ratio: mix 1 part pretreat with 3 parts demineralised or reverse osmosis water.
Ideal preparation: shake well before use to ensure a homogeneous solution.
Instructions and tips for using the Kornit optimised pretreat.
To obtain optimal printing results, follow these steps.
Preparing the textile: Before using the DTG pretreatment, make sure the sweatshirt or tote bag is clean and free of residues. This ensures better adhesion of the Kornit textile ink.
Applying the pretreat for Avalanche HD6 or Kornit: Pour the product directly into the tank of the Kornit printer to apply the pre-treatment. This method ensures an even spray on the textile.
Drying: We recommend using a Chiossi e Cavazzuti drying tunnel. This device allows for a rapid and uniform result. Manual drying with a heat press at 170-180 degrees Celsius for 30 seconds is equally possible.
