Our tips for using your used DTG printer.
1. Adapt the environment to your DTG equipment.
For the Brother GTX Pro printer or your Epson SC-F3000 to perform optimally, you must work in an environment conducive to DTG printing. Monitor the humidity level, temperature and dust in the workshop. Therefore, we recommend you store your used DTG equipment in an environment that does not experience significant temperature changes.
2. Routine maintenance of DTG printer printheads
Check the printheads of Brother GTX Pro regularly before customising your t-shirt. This verification helps maintain the quality of your textile prints. Whereas, if the nozzle leaves traces or malfunctions, it must be taken care of immediately or you risk having to reprint your series.
3. Smooth ink flow from printing system
Depending on the model of your machine for direct-to-garment printing, your printer is equipped with a shaker. This function stirs the textile ink to prevent it from settling and drying.However, if it is not present, you can shake the cartridges regularly before starting the day.
It's safe to run this task every day, especially if you don't employ your printer daily. To make the ink flow easily, you can print a few sample t-shirts every day or at least once every three days. The best practice is to fill your system with a cleaning solution (Cleaning solution for DTG/DTF).
4. Keep the capping station clean.
The capping station produces a vacuum near the nozzle plate so that ink is pumped inside the station. The pressure unclogs the nozzles, preventing the inks from drying out. Therefore, it should be cleaned with deionized water or other cleaning fluids.

A pre-treatment machine offers more precision in the pre-treatment solution deposited on the garment than by the roller. You control and can adjust the dosage. In addition, 20 to 25 grams of SK Dark Cotton pre-treatment solution, per t-shirt, is sufficient. It fixes the exact amount of pre-treatment liquid on the cotton garment. Your pretreatment machine pays for itself fairly quickly.
