Description
The Epson T57Y100 DTF Cleaning Liquid prepares the SureColor SC-G6000 for an extended period of inactivity. It is also used before storing or transporting the printer.
During the procedure, the printer temporarily replaces the inks with cleaning liquid. This helps protect the nozzles while the printer is not in use.
The cartridge contains 1.6 litres of UltraChrome DF Cleaning Liquid.
Preparing the SC-G6000 for an extended shutdown
The cleaning procedure applies when the SC-G6000 will remain switched off for two weeks or more.
The operator starts the procedure from the printer’s maintenance menu. The display then shows each step and indicates which cartridges to install.
The complete preparation requires five T57Y100 cartridges and a new waste ink tank. Make sure these consumables are available before stopping production.
Without this preparation, leave the Epson printer in standby mode so it can carry out its maintenance cycles.
Returning the SC-G6000 to service
When restarting the printer, the operator removes the cleaning cartridges and reinstalls the Epson UltraChrome DF inks.
The SC-G6000 then refills its printing system. Make sure the ink cartridges contain enough ink before restarting the printer.
The control panel guides the operator through each step until the printer is ready for use.
What is the difference between T57Y100 Cleaning Liquid and T57UB00 Maintenance Liquid?
The T57UB00 supports the routine maintenance of the SC-G6000. The Epson T57Y100 DTF Cleaning Liquid is only used before an extended shutdown, storage or transport.
These two cartridges perform different functions and are not interchangeable.
