ROQ FLASH RUN | Screen Printing Flash dryer
- Reference: ROQ-FLASH-RUN
Description
Developed by ROQ, a manufacturer specialised in automatic screen printing equipment, the screen printing flash cure unit ROQ FLASH RUN integrates with carousels and presses to provide intermediate ink pre-curing between print strokes.
The flash dryer for screen printing heats the ink after each pass to reduce smudging and colour bleeding, automatically adjusting the heat output according to the carousel rotation speed.
Directly connected to the screen printing press, the intermediate flash ROQ FLASH RUN adapts its pre-curing rhythm to the presses movement speed.
Technical features of the ROQ FLASH RUN
Settings designed to adapt to every configuration, ink type and textile.
- Quartz lamps : Fast heating with automatic shut-off between cycles to reduce energy consumption.
- Adjustable heating zone : Lamp activation according to artwork width to heat only the printed ink area.
- Adjustable height : Distance between pallet and lamps can be adjusted according to textile thickness.
- Time adjustment : Flash duration can be set directly from the press screen.
- Temperature control : Simple heat adjustment to suit each type of ink and substrate.
In an automated environment, every screen printing module must operate in full synchronisation with the screen printing press. The connected triggering system reduces human errors linked to manual flash timing adjustments. The operator controls all parameters directly from the central interface.
Temperature control plays a key role in multi-colour print quality. For plastisol inks and water-based inks, energy management removes surface moisture without stiffening the textile.
Applications of the screen printing flash unit in textile workshops
The ROQ FLASH RUN installs between two print heads on ROQ automatic press (ROQ YOU, ROQ NEXT, ROQ ECO, ROQ OVAL PRO). It cures the ink after each colour, enabling immediate overprinting without waiting time.
This flash cure unit is essential for multi-colour textile screen printing: t-shirts, sweatshirts, workwear and promotional garments. It speeds up job changeovers by eliminating manual drying operations between colours.
ROQ FLASH RUN range: 7 models available
The ROQ FLASH RUN is available in several formats to match the print area and press configuration.
From the 3000 S model for small artwork to the 3XL and 4XL versions for large formats, each professional textile flash cure unit offers a drying surface, power output and number of lamps suited to the production volume.
Depending on the selected FLASH RUN , several electrical configurations are available: 230 V single phase, 2x230 V, 3x230 V three-phase or 3x400 V + N, ensuring compatibility with the workshop’s electrical installation.

Which parameters influence pre-curing quality?
The lamp-to-pallet distance, flash time and programmed temperature directly affect ink gelation. Proper adjustment secures colour overprinting and reduces defects such as ink crushing or marking.
Which screen printing inks can be used with the flash unit?
This intermediate flash dryer is suitable for plastisol inks and water-based inks. Temperature and height settings allow the heat output to be adjusted according to the ink type and textile used.
Which ROQ FLASH RUN model should I choose for my carousel?
The choice of the Roq Flash RUN depends on the size of the artwork to be printed. For A4 formats or small logos, the 9000 M model (40 × 50 cm) is sufficient. For large back prints on t-shirts or sweatshirts, XL, 2XL or 3XL versions are recommended depending on the maximum print area required.
