ROQ DRY EVOLUTION | Screen Printing Flash dryer
- Reference: ROQ-FLASH-EVOLUTION
Description
Developed by ROQ, a manufacturer specialised in automatic screen printing equipment, the intermediate flash dryer ROQ DRY EVOLUTION integrates with automatic carousels and presses to provide ink pre-curing between two print strokes.
The automatic flash cure unit heats the ink after each pass to reduce smudging and colour bleeding. Directly connected to the screen printing press, it automatically adapts its pre-curing rhythm according to the rotation speed.
Technical features of the ROQ DRY EVOLUTION intermediate flash unit
Integrated into ROQ automatic Presses, this professional screen printing flash dryer brings together the necessary functions to control pre-curing, maintain production speed and adapt to different print formats.
Automation and heat control
- Smart Probe option
The probe measures the textile temperature during the flash cycle and automatically adjusts the pre-curing cycle. - Automatic stop at target temperature
The intermediate flash unit stops as soon as the target temperature is reached, without relying solely on a timer. - Press - controlled operation – full automation
The start and stop of the intermediate flash unit are controlled directly from the screen printing caroussel interface. - Selectable heating zones
The operator activates only the required heating surface according to the artwork size. - Fast temperature ramp-up
The textile flash dryer lamps reach high temperature quickly to maintain production speed.
Adjustment and setting of the ROQ DRY EVOLUTION
- 90° rotating head
Allows orientation adjustment according to the screen printing press configuration. - Adjustable pallet / lamp height
Can be adjusted according to textile thickness or ink deposit. - Large flash areas available
The ROQ EVOLUTION range covers pre-curing surfaces from 40 × 50 cm up to 90 × 110 cm depending on the model. - Power suited to high production speeds
Available ROQ DRY EVOLUTION intermediate flash versions range from 12 kW to over 25 kW.
Applications of the screen printing flash unit in textile workshops
The flash cure unit can be installed on ROQ automatic Press (ROQ YOU, ROQ NEXT, ROQ ECO, ROQ OVAL PRO). After each color application, the ink is cured, allowing the next layer to be printed immediately.
A key solution for multi-color textile printing on t-shirts, hoodies, workwear, and promotional apparel. The ROQ DRY EVOLUTION is particularly suited to professional workshops operating at high speed or in continuous production.
Smart Probe technology : intelligent pre-curing control
The Smart Probe option equips the ROQ DRY EVOLUTION with an integrated temperature sensor. It monitors the actual textile temperature during the flash cycle. The system automatically adjusts the heating duration according to the detected temperature. As soon as the target value is reached, the flash curing unit switches off without relying on a fixed timer.
This automatic regulation reduces human errors linked to manual settings and adapts to variations in textile thickness or ink deposit.
ROQ EVOLUTION range : 7 models available
The ROQ intermediate flash cure unit is available in several formats to match the print area and screen printing press configuration.
From the 9000 M model for medium formats to the 3XL and 4XL versions designed for large prints, each professional textile flash unit offers a drying surface, power output and number of lamps adapted to the production volume.

Which parameters influence pre-curing quality?
The lamp-to-pallet distance, flash time and programmed temperature directly affect ink gelation. Proper adjustment secures colour overprinting and reduces defects such as ink crushing or marking.
Which screen printing inks can be used with the flash unit?
The ROQ DRY EVOLUTION is suitable for plastisol inks and water-based inks. Temperature and height settings allow the heat output to be adjusted according to the textile used.
Which ROQ DRY EVOLUTION model should I choose for my screen printing automatic press?
The choice of the ROQ DRY EVOLUTION depends on the size of the artwork to be printed. For medium formats or small logos, the 9000 M model (40 × 50 cm) is sufficient.
For large back prints on t-shirts or sweatshirts, choose the XL, XL+ or 2XL versions depending on the maximum print area required. The 3XL and 4XL models are suitable for large-format prints and high-production workshops.
