DTF (Direct To Film) printing is the most recent, affordable and revolutionary printing technique in the field of textile personalisation.
With your DTF printer or your converted Epson printer and our inks and supplies, easily transfer your images to a vast variety of textiles. DTF can be applied to many textiles like cotton, polyester, wool, leather and many others, whatever their color.
You get a perfect design, which stands out for its detail, contrast and exceptionally high durability. No specialist printer required, we recommend using a RIP for DTF to make printing easier.
The image is printed on PET film for DTF. Next, apply the DTF powder which serves as an adhesive, once hardened in the oven. The DTF transfer is transferred to the textile using a heat press. Leave to cool, then remove the DTF transfer film.
What makes DTF technology superior to sublimation and DTG digital printing?
DTF makes it possible to design complex textile customisations without any color limitations.
The DTF transfer attaches to a large majority of textiles.
The printing technique is the same, both for dark and light textiles.
Exceptional print durability.
DTF printing stretches easily with the fabric without cracking, ideal for sportswear for example.
high resistance to washing.
Lower cost of standard equipment and consumables.
Tips for using the DTF transfer film roll:
DTF transfer film rolls adapt to all DTF printing lines operating in roll to roll.
Before printing, indent 3-4 pixels.
DTF marking uses less ink. Start the tests with 50% less ink than with DTG printing for example.
Identify the side to be printed by moistening your finger. Switch to the DTF sheet. The stickiest or roughest side is the surface to be printed.
Launch your print on the DTF transfer film, apply the powder to all the DTF ink. Ideally harden it in the oven. Let cool.
Paste the transfer with a heat press for 2 minutes at 150°C. Allow the textile transfer to cool to remove the cold film.
